For me, it’s all about communication.  Reaching out and listening to the concerns of all our citizens, parents, teachers, students, and administrators.  I support mandatory parent, teacher, and citizen surveys when major decisions need to be made by the school board.  We have the technology, there is no acceptable reason to not conduct surveys.  Let's make the decisions more informed and even better.

As the “at-Large” member of the School Board, I will work hard to represent all citizens of Decatur. We have great neighborhood elementary schools – let’s make them even better.

We have an ever improving middle school and a high school that has been nationally recognized for more than a decade – let’s make them even better.

City Schools of Decatur has a great reputation and deservedly so.  I want to continue that great tradition while helping to craft a school system that meets the needs of the children – let’s work to make the system even better.
